If you regularly play in an online casino, you have undoubtedly seen the game Crazy Time by Evolution Gaming before. Crazy Time is the most popular live game show globally. The game features a wheel in the middle of the screen with a host next to it. At the bottom of your screen, you will see a betting interface with eight different bet options.
If you are unfamiliar with Crazy Time, you probably do not know what is expected of you. Luckily, we will discuss the rules of this popular online casino game and tell you how the game works in this guide.
How Does Crazy Time Work?
Crazy Time focuses on a wheel of fortune. The wheel is divided into 54 squares with the numbers 1, 2, 5, and 10. In addition, nine squares have bonuses. Later in this guide, we will discuss the Crazy Time bonuses in detail.
Before the host sets the wheel in motion, they spin two other wheels. These hang above the wheel. The left reel contains the numbers and the different bonus games on the wheel. On the right are multipliers.
At the top of the wheel is a clapper. As soon as the host sets the wheel in motion, the clapper ensures that it slows down slowly but surely. After spinning for some time, the clapper stops in one of the 54 squares. If your bet corresponds to the box in which the clapper came to rest, you win.
If the clapper stops on the number or bonus previously spun with the left and right reels, the corresponding multiplier will be applied to the outcome of that spin.
The Crazy Time Wheel
The Crazy Time wheel is divided into 54 compartments, each containing a number or a bonus. On the wheel, you will see the numbers 1, 2, 5, and 10 and the bonus rounds Coin Flip, Pachinko, Cash Hunt, and Crazy Time.
| Outcome | Number of Times on the Wheel |
|---|---|
| 1 | 21 |
| 2 | 13 |
| 5 | 7 |
| 10 | 4 |
| Coin Flip | 4 |
| Pachinko | 2 |
| Cash Hunt | 2 |
| Crazy Time | 1 |
The table above shows exactly how often each number appears on the wheel at Crazy Time. The 1 occurs a total of 21 times. If you bet on this number, the chance of a correct prediction is much greater than if you bet on 10. After all, the ten only appears four times on the wheel.
Crazy Time Bonus Games
To clarify the different bonuses with this casino game, we explain them one by one below.
Coin Flip
Coin Flip is the bonus that drops most often at Crazy Time because Coin Flip appears relatively often on the wheel compared to the other bonuses.
If the clapper stops in a compartment with Coin Flip, you will see a red and blue coin on the screen, both with a multiplier. The host will then flip the coin by pressing a button. One of the two sides always ends up on top. This colour ultimately determines how much you win with this Crazy Time bonus, and you win the multiplier in the colour that the coin indicates.
Pachinko
Pachinko is a bonus with more thrills and spills than Coin Flip. This bonus appears twice on the wheel.
The host walks to a vertical play tray with numerous pins when the clapper falls on Pachinko. Various values are displayed at the bottom of the screen. Partly because of this, Pachinko is somewhat similar to the game Plinko.
The host walks up a ladder to the top of the play tray to release a large coin. The host does not do this randomly because the screen indicates in which box the host has to drop the coin. The pins in the tray guide the coin down, then land in one of the sixteen compartments at the bottom.
The squares at the bottom of the game board show random multipliers you can win if the coin lands there.
Multipliers are doubled whenever the coin lands on a double box. The presenter throws the coin into the play tray again from the top._ _
Cash Hunt
When the clapper stops in a box with Cash Hunt, the presenter takes you to a unique playing field with all kinds of symbols and amounts. A multiplier is hidden behind every icon. The different rows of icons are first set in motion. Once they come to a stop, it is revealed which multiplier is behind which icon.
The amounts are then hidden behind the icons, and the system mixes them up. Once they have come to a stop again, a cannon will appear at the bottom of your screen. This determines which icon you fire at.
The icon you fire the cannonball at will eventually become your target. After the canon ball hits the icon, it will reveal which multiplier will be applied to your bet.
Crazy Time
The best bonus you can get is Crazy Time. The chance that the clapper in the box with this bonus will come to rest is minimal because it only appears once on the wheel.
The host will walk through a red door next to the wheel when the clapper stops on Crazy Time. This door then takes you to a special room with a completely new wheel with 64 squares. The squares on this wheel are filled with various multipliers. In addition to the multipliers, there are several 'Doubles' on the wheel.
The presenter does not set the wheel in motion this time by giving it a crank but by pressing a red button. Before they do this, you must choose a colour. You can choose from three colours:
- Green
- Blue
- Yellow
These colours correspond to the three clappers at the top of the Crazy Time wheel. The colour you have chosen ultimately determines your winning outcome. When the clapper stops on a box marked "Double," the host presses the red button again. This process repeats every time the clapper of your chosen colour stops in such a box.
When you spin 'Double,' the multipliers on the wheel are doubled. With ‘Triple’, the multipliers are tripled.
| Multiplier | Number of Times on the Wheel |
|---|---|
| 10x | 9 |
| 15x | 8 |
| 20x | 7 |
| 25x | 17 |
| 50x | 15 |
| 100x | 5 |
| 200x | 5 |
| Double | 1 |
| Triple | 1 |
The great thing about Crazy Time bonuses is that it is not known how much you can win in advance. The multipliers are different for every bonus game.
Crazy Time RTP
In Crazy Time, eight different outcomes are possible each turn. For example, the wheel can stop on the numbers 1, 2, 5, and 10 and on the Coin Flip, Pachinko, Cash Hunt, and Crazy Time bonuses. Because not every outcome is on the wheel equally often, the return to player percentage is different for each outcome.
| Outcome | RTP |
|---|---|
| 1 | 96,08% |
| 2 | 95,95% |
| 5 | 95,78% |
| 10 | 95,73% |
| Coin Flip | 95,70% |
| Pachinko | 94,33% |
| Cash Hunt | 95,27% |
| Crazy Time | 94,41% |
